Meryam is a primary school teacher in The Hague, The Netherlands. Her heart goes out to the children who lack certain privileges in the educational system (or even life in general). For those, qualitatively good and durable education can be life changing. The urge to learn more about diversity in education and inclusion, led her to complete her mastersdegree 'Education for Inclusive Societies' at the University of Utrecht. During this degree she was able to put what she learned into practice in her own classroom and by volunteering in her neigbourhood and community in Amsterdam. In her role as a boardmember for Train for Change Meryam wishes to share her knowledge and experience about inclusive education in order to achieve more equal opportunities for children and youth-at risk in disadvanted areas.
